ChoronzonFrom TinWiki.orgChoronzon is mentioned in the writings recording the magical workings of Edward Kelly/Kelley and John Dee, Kelly describing Choronzon as " that mighty devil ". Aleister Crowley in his book " The Vision and the Voice " (also known as " Liber 418 ") calls Choronzon " the Devil of the Aethyr, that mighty devil Choronzon "[1], the aethyr in question being the tenth (this usage of the word " aethyr ", along with the Enochian language, keys, calls, et cetera, is all derived from previous usage in the work of Dee and Kelly). Crowley also labels Choronzon a demon, and states that the aethyr is accursed. Crowley quotes Choronzon as stating of himself (subsequent to a ritual in which Choronzon is made to manifest himself) that he is Master of Form, that his name is three hundred and thirty-three, and that he is Dispersion[2]. In recent years Choronzon has become popular among practitioners of "chaos magick", who frequently name-check him as a spiritual pal/tutelary deity/object of worship/potential-trouble-source , although with little overall agreement, due to the fact that as a group chaos magicians, like fundamentalist Mormons, are subject to frequent new revelations which belittle and contradict each other.
