Extraterrestrial Biological Entity

From TinWiki.org

(Redirected from E.B.E.)

An Extraterrestrial Biological Entity (aka E.B.E.) is currently defined as an unknown, non-human, non-Earth animal, non-Earth plant biological being of some kind. Common terms for an E.B.E is extraterrestrial, extraterrestrial alien, or simply alien.

The variety of what could qualify as an E.B.E is so vast that pinning down a more specific definition at this time cannot be done until more information is available for research.

Theoretical examples

At this time, the most dependable material available for what beings are E.B.Es are the stories told by human witnesses who have encountered them. Stories have included descriptions of a wide variety of unknown beings, everything from "little green men" to lizard-like creatures.

E.B.Es in general have been described as having telepathic abilities, knowledge of various human languages (hence how the witnesses understand the E.B.Es in their native tongue), cryptic grammar, and intelligence of not only of all human cultures but of all economies as well (such as what major goods are made by which countries, which nations trade with each other, GDP numbers, etc). Other witness stories have told of E.B.Es with spaceships that contain Star Trek-like technology.

Television

TV shows, like The X-Files, have had plots dealing with E.B.Es, who have been shown as a variety of creatures. "Little Green Men" in UFOs, ice worms, silicon-based lifeforms, "sinister slimy oil" beings, and non-Earth genetic mutants are but a few TV examples. However, considering the source, it is better to stick with the actual, though limited, human knowledge of real E.B.E. encounters.
