Stated Mission

Our Mission is to maintain the XVIII Airborne Corps as a strategic crisis response force, manned and trained to deploy rapidly by air, sea and land anywhere in the world within eighteen hours, prepared to fight upon arrival and win.

Operations

Fort Bragg is utilized by the CIA to train military personel to resist enhanced interrogation techniques and to develop SERE-Interrorgation-Technique.

It is home to the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School (JFKSWS), commonly referred to as "The School House".

The mission of JFKSWS is to recruit, train, and educate Army Special Forces, and to provide advanced skills, as required, to become an effective operator and leader. Its mission also includes supporting the Army and the Special Operations Community, who conduct operations worldwide.

The vision for JFKSWS is to provide the world's best Special Operations forces training center and institution. It is capable of producing the world's best trained warriors, with the skills and leadership to succeed in today's theatre of operations, reflecting the Army's image of the premier Special Operations force in the world.
