Isaac Caret is claimed to be a hoax that was perpatrated by unknown persons. Hoax or not, it managed to gain a tremendous following, throughout the internet. Discussion boards dealing with conspiracy theories, space, aliens, and various alternative topics became overwhelmed by the Isaac Caret story. [edit] The storyA story was presented about a gentleman who worked for the United States government in the 1980's. The story had a multitude of characters. But for the most part, the setting was in the state of California. There were documents presented alongside the story. There was also an assortment of computer-forged pictures depicting an alien drone. The story was that, Isaac (presumably, the author of the tripod webpage where the story began) worked on a secret project called Caret for the United States government. It was said that, the Caret team was given full access to a captured alien drone. The drone supposedly operated via glyphs that were adorned on it. It contained I-beams adorned with these glyphs as well. The drone built and unbuilt itself automatically when in close quarters with its own disassembled parts, or so the story claimed. Along with the pictures of the forged drone, there were depictions showing alien writing which supposedly showed how the thing worked. The alien writing was compared to countless known fonts and was attempted to be recreated by many, but to no avail. abovetopsecret.com has had over 300 pages of discussion dealing with the Isaac Caret story, which is still active today in an attempt to try and discover the identities of the hoaxers. They have become so desperate they have started accusing some of the founders of the ever growing organisation called the Drone Research Team. droneteam.com. DRT has in it's employ two private detectives and now features current research on its own forum within their site. According to DRT findings, despite the cry of hoax from certain quarters, there has been no proof uncovered as of yet that gives credibility to the conclusion of hoax.
