Joël van der Reijden, born in the Netherlands, is the creator of the Institute for the Study of Globalization and Covert Politics (ISGP). This site has done a lot of research on influential but low profile organizations as the Pilgrims Society, Le Cercle and the 1001 Club. It has also focused on the Belgian X-Dossiers, disinformation and the UFO phenomenon. From 2005 until mid 2008 the site went under the name Project for the Exposure of Hidden Institutions. A number of seasoned investigators and other volunteers have supported the site over the years.

An interesting aspect of the ISGP website is that it attacks many aspects of the traditional conspiracy community. It makes the case that organizations as Moral Majority, the John Birch Society and the Western Goals Foundation were controlled by anti-communist right-wingers who have been promoting an organizaed anti-Eastern Establishment agenda for many decades.
