The Knights Templar are amongst the most famous western Christian military orders ever. The order, organization, was in operation for approximately two centuries. The Knights Templar was founded for one persuade, after the First crusade in 1096 they were set up to protect and ensure safety to many Christians and other pilgrims. The Knights Templar was officially endorsed in 1129 by the Roman Catholic Church and became powerful and its membership rapidly grew to a point where it was on par with other countries in terms of wealth and power. The uniform of the Templar's was a very simplistic design, it was a white mantle with a red cross on it. Templar's were mainly known in the early days as being amazing warriors, some of the best on the battlefield, but it wasn't until later when they started to create a powerful economic infrastructure throughout Christendom, they led the field in many things of their day, they built many fortifications throughout the Mediterranean and the Holy Land.
