Last Supper Secret

The Last Supper Secret is a set of images found in the painting The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci. These sets of images may prove whether Da Vinci thought that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, if there was a child between them, and why Judas betrayed Jesus.

The Chalice

The Chalice zoomed in.

By scouring the top edge of the wall, roughly in the middle of the painting we can find a very small upside down triangle with two arrows on either side. The triangle is known as the chalice, the sign for female, also for a vessel or the shape of a woman's womb. This is the most important concept about this secret, that the triangle shown in the painting is in fact referring to a womb. On either side of the Chalice are two arrows pointing downward, right toward Mary Magdalene's (she is the only woman at the table, previously thought to be john) hands.

The Baby

The place in which the arrows from the chalice point to are directly at Mary's folded hands, which lie between Jesus and Judas' out stretched hands. If one were to follow the two arrows to their exact points on Mary's hands, you would come to her thumb. The only thing is that by the way her hands are placed, the thumb is in an extremely awkward position, almost impossible. When one takes a closer look at her thumb we can see the makings of what looks like a baby, wrapped in a swath of blanket. (through careful examination it appears that this part of her thumb may just look like a baby because it is cracked, but even still i personally believe that Da Vinci had a baby in mind when refering to Mary's hands). Now this isn't detailed, but the basic form and the fact that it is wrapped in cloth (which is unrealistic for her thumb) indicates this in fact was intended to be the rough outline of a baby. The fact that the two arrows point to the baby are an indication that Da Vinci is implying that there was baby in the womb, of the only women present, Mary Magdalene.

The Father

In the Last Supper painting we can see clearly that both Jesus and Judas are grasping for something on the table. Right in between their hands coincidentally are the folded hands of Mary Magdalene. This most likely means that both Jesus and Judas had claim to the child she was pregnant with. But we can discover the who the father is by moving Marys position in the picture to Jesus' side, in which she happens to fit perfectly (the robes align perfectly, her head is in a comfortable position on Jesus' cheek) and it is here that we see her folded hands (the baby) lye right over Jesus' out stretched palm. This is a clear indication that the child was Jesus' and not Judas'. This is a potential and very good reason why Judas would betray Jesus.

The Conclusion

In the end this proves as much as you believe Da Vinci would know about the truth of Jesus' life. But it is obvious he believed there was a bloodline of Christ and he had different ideas on how the story really went. The interesting thing is how this knowledge effects the people and religion whom are involved and how it can be used. There isn't much information about this specific secret (well actually no information) because it was discovered by the original author of this article know as Tankthinker, and this is the first place on the internet that this theory is being presented.
