Lilith

According to the Talmud, Lilith was Adams’s first wife, but Lilith was a strong willed women who didn’t feel that Adam should be the dominant person in the relationship so they broke up after disagreeing over who should have the dominant position during sex. Lilith did not want to be on the bottom, and Adam felt that he should be on top, so she sprouted wings and flew off to become the mother of a brood of entities known as succubi and incubi. Adam told God what had transpired, who sent three Angels. Who found Lilith near the Red Sea where she was found to be living with demons and giving birth to imps and other creatures called “lillim or liliot.” The Angels tried to persuade Lilith to return to Adam. Lilith refused. And so God created Eve from Adam’s rib. It is said that because Lilith had been formed from mud and filth. That she reveled in misery and evil. Lilith has also been associated with being a murderer of babies. When god had sent the Angels to Lilith it is written that he told them to ask Lilith to return to Adam and if she refused to bring her by force. Different sources give different reasons for why the Angels did not bring Lilith back as god had commanded, one being that because she had cavorted with Demons she was then unworthy or defiled, others stated that she saw herself as evil and made a pact with the angels that if a child was male then for 8 days after birth she can attempt to kill them if the child is female then she has 12 days and after this period of time went by she would then leave them be.
