The Loveland frogs are considered to be very bizarre creatures, having been described as humanoid, with the face of a frog. No physical evidence has been found regarding these amphibians. The sightings starting in Loveland, Ohio, began in 1952 and have carried on ever since. These creatures were often found in groups.

Sightings

It was a person driving along a country road in Loveland Ohio who made the first sighting. He said he noticed some odd looking amphibianoid creatures moving by the side of the road, going on to claim that one of the creatures took out a wand like object that produced glowing sparks. The area was later searched but nothing could be found.

In May 1955 a businessman reported seeing a few creatures that were squatting under a bridge near Loveland. He described them as being 3-foot tall frog-faced creatures, having wrinkles instead of hair on their heads, lopsided chests, and wide mouths without lips, like frogs. He also reported smelling alfalfa and almonds.

Nothing was reported for another 20 years until, along the same stretch of road, a policeman came across a strange looking thing, sitting by the side of the road. Reportedly, the frog-like creature leapt away into the undergrowth, towards a nearby river. Approximately 2 weeks later another policeman, once again on the same stretch of road, recalled seeing a similar looking animal, recalling that he took a shot at it, before it scurried away into the undergrowth. A local farmer also reported seeing a similar creature.

The officers involved did not file an official report, however local news media got hold of the story and the Loveland frog stories spread through out Northern America and beyond.

The last recorded appearance was in the Dominican Republic on September 1998. Security personnel at a motel made the sighting, reporting it as being five feet long and three feet wide.
