Sustainable development

From TinWiki.org

Sustainable development, a project of the United Nations, deals with human industry and protecting the conditions of the natural environment on Earth. The project is closely connected to another U.N. project called Agenda 21. Sustainable development's key principles are the environment. Its ideals are growth and environmental awareness being one. Its key principle is that of growing up in terms of technological advantages and other industrial processes whilst at he same time preserving the environment, this is so that we do not harm the Earth more. The quote that really makes sustainable development make sence is how it is defined..."Meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." The ideals of this have been made an it has been split into three departments so that all of the areas can be covered, the three areas are environmental sustainability, economic sustainability and sociopolitical sustainability.

The United Nations in January 2005 announced to the world that the next decade in human history would be the "Decade of Education for Sustainable Development". Active sectors teams have formed for youth, higher education, business, religion, the arts, and more. Organizations and people can help out with this by going to see the United Nations and signing up to offer aid. It should be understood that this is to help people and not for profit.
