Talk:Current eventsFrom TinWiki.org
[edit] Trying to put this page to useI know this page has been empty for some time. Looking in the deleted versions, I see that it was meant to be a redirect page to ATS, like the Community portal link (also in the navigation box) is, specifically to the Breaking Alternative News recent topics page. Not sure why making it such a redirect was abandoned, now that I realize that of course the Community portal link does indeed work nicely as such a redirect, or external link, to the ATS site. Anyway, I am trying out putting some content in this page, and using the concept I sneaked a peek at in Wikipedia, I have made it a list of tinWiki articles that pertain to current events, and also I put a little box at the bottom which links to the same ATS page which the redirect seems to originally have meant to go to. Plus I put a date code in the page, which seemed like a nifty idea, this being a current events page and all, I mean "time is of the essence" or something. :-) hehe. Anyway, putting content in this page was just something I came to want to try out, and I totally understand if changes are considered necessary, from what I have done here right now, for example to make the page a direct link to ATS as was originally the plan as it seems. Anyway, I feel it's a nice thing to have something in the page. Optimist 02:21, 15 August 2007 (CDT) [edit] "Label" in front of the dateNot sure if it was an improvement but by using the HTML subscript tags I was able to bring that label down from "flying up in air" compared to the level of the date itself. I thought it had gotten on the same level now but I see it isn't the exact same level. Just fiddling around, maybe the whole label isn't necessary, perhaps it can stay the for a while though... Optimist 21:03, 16 August 2007 (CDT) [edit] Feel free to addThe table code is somewhat messy, I suppose, but by looking for the bullets, it should be reasonably easy to add links. As it is right now, I realize all the links are just to pages initiated by myself, but I hope that situation is changing. On a side note, the general 'layout' of the page can of course be different. The way it is right now is just my own best attempt. Optimist 22:13, 30 October 2007 (CDT) |
