With the vandalism edit by Umbrax(?), getting rid of Blacks in the species, also removed was Whites, which is a reported species of tall white-skinned species. I've read about them here and there. I was also the one to add them to the list.

Just noticed this message, and am wondering why the Whites were removed. Optimist 00:39, 8 March 2008 (CST)

Wondering about the article title, a bit..

Immediately, what I'm thinking is that "aliens" is not as precise as "extraterrestrials" when the topic is in fact beings from somewhere other than planet "Terra" (if I'm not mistaken when I think that's one of the names used for Earth, along with Tellus, and probably some others as well). I mean, "alien" just means "unfamiliar" or something (I haven't actually looked the word up, so that's just my impression or such as to what the word means). So I assume that the term "alien" is really just a type of "slang" or such, while the most precise and "proper" of the two, is actually "extraterrestrial".

I may be mistaken in how I think about the two terms, but if I'm not, then I think it should be considered whether perhaps the article should be moved so its title becomes Extraterrestrials, and the Aliens page then be made the redirect page. This is just something I'm thinking though, and obviously it's not a very big issue, since the term "alien" is commonly understood to mean "little green men from Mars"... Or that type of thing. (Of course there is other uses for the word, depending on context and so on, for example meaning "illegal alien", that is, an immigrant from one country to another.) Anyway, I have wanted to mention this thought, and so now I did. :-) Optimist 00:53, 8 March 2008 (CST)

Title Convention

On wikipedia.org, the convention for article names is that they are stated in the singular. I've noticed that many articles on this wiki are pluralized. Should we considered making sure that article names are in the sigular form? Palzeta (How's That?, That's How!) (Inclusionistic Eventualist ) 14:50, 1 August 2008 (CDT)

Palzeta,
I have brought up your post in the working forum in ATS here. --Optimist 15:39, 1 August 2008 (CDT)
