figure out how to create "dots" for a list, such as in microsoft word bullets and numbering list
create internal links to all relevant articles outlined, IE: Alchemy, etc.
The above was posted on 20:48, 25 June 2008 Andrew E. Wiggin.
- Andrew E. Wiggin,
- Hi. The bullet lists are numbered lists are created using the following codes:
- An asterisk at the beginning of each line makes a bullet list:
-
* List item
* List item
* List item
- List item
- List item
- List item
- A hash sign instead of an asterisk makes the list a numbered list:
-
# List item
# List item
# List item
- List item
- List item
- List item
- Make sure to not have any blank lines between the lines in the numbered list, or the numbering will start over for each line so every line is numbered as number 1...
- Hope this helps. :-) P.S. Remember the sign discussion posts by typing in four tildes at the end ~~~~. That will automatically turn into a signature like this --> Optimist 19:11, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
Congratulations, and comments
Andrew E. Wiggin,
Good work on this article. The form is looking very good now. :-)
Very, very minor formatting comment: according to the tinWiki style manual, book titles and titles of other works of art should be italicized, as opposed to have bold font or quotation marks.
Keep up the good work. Optimist 19:26, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
I made some mainly formatting changes
I have made some changes, mostly formatting. Book titles and titles of other works of art, such as music albums or television series, should have italics. I'm not entirely sure, but I 'think' individual songs from an album and episodes from tv series should not have italics, but perhaps quotation marks, according to the tinWiki style manual. I'm not 100% sure, but I did it like that for now.
Some 'listing' of facts that I think seem sort of out of place, I have pulled into the text, specifically into the introduction. In addition to changing the font formatting some places in the last section, I made the content a bullet list, and also changed the header from "Modern day usage" to "In popular culture".
