Telepathy is a direct transfer of thought from one person to another without the usual sensory channels such as vocalizations or hand movements. A telepath (one who has the skill of telepathy) will be able to read thoughts as well as transfer their own thoughts into another’s mind. The existence of telepathy has not yet been proved; however, some para-psychological research studies have produced favorable results in this field.

Research

One group known as the James Randi Educational Foundation has created the One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge. REF offers a one-million-dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event. REF does not participate in the testing other than helping to design the protocol and approving the conditions under which a test will take place.

There is also the World Telepathy Cup, which holds tournaments where telepaths can test their skills and win prizes. They say that this is not a research experiment but rather a World Class Championship Tournament.

The U.S. government has also been involved in telepathic research. The CIA ran a project known as MKUltra that researched mind control.

One common method for testing telepathy is the use of Zener cards. There are 25 Zener cards in a pack, composed of 5 cards of each of 5 designs: a circle, a cross, a star, a square, and vertical wavy lines. A subject will draw a card from the deck and will try to mentally project the image of whichever design is on that card onto the mind of another person.

Public figures

Ramon Watkins (a.k.a. Prophet Yahweh) claims to have the ability to telepathically call Alien spacecraft with prayer.
