Temple of Set is an organization that is an offshoot of Church of Satan. The organization was founded by former Church of Satan members who were not content with the atheistic Satanism of Anton Szandor LaVey. Temple of Set builds on Egyptian mystery religions, and believe that Set is a real, existing god. It is thought that the leading member of this is Former Lt. Colonel Micheal Aquino.

Set is sometimes identified as Satan, although not necessarily in the Christian sense of the word. Set may also be identified with the star Sirius. The organization teaches a number of different "flavors" of magic, including "spiritual" vampirism (blood drinking is however not accepted). There is an annual membership fee.
