Tinfoil is a thin leaf made of tin. The word "tinfoil" is actually a misnomer as today tinfoil is almost always made of aluminum.[1] Tinfoil is mainly used in the kitchen to wrap food, especially while cooking.

Alternative Uses

Tinfoil can be used in the construction of a Psiwheel rather than paper. It is thought that the tinfoil creates less friction and will be easier to spin.

Perhaps the most common alternative use of tinfoil is the tinfoil hat. Some believe that wearing a hat made of tinfoil will shield the brain from outside influences such as mind control.

Unintended Effects

An interesting study was done recently where it was shown that aluminum foil actually amplifies the specific frequencies used by government agencies. This is ironic because many conspiracy theorists had long used aluminum foil to block these same frequencies.
