Introduction

"Ummo" refers to an elaborate UFO-contact experience. Believers claim that aliens from the planet Ummo have been communicating with select persons on the earth. Most Ummo information is in the form of many detailed documents and letters sent to various individuals. The phenomenon is best known in the Spanish and French-speaking world.

In South America the phenomenon has generated a religious cult the "Daughters of Ummo."

Critics claim, however, that the Ummo affair is an elaborate hoax. French astrophysictst Dr. Jacques Vallee has suggested the Ummo documents might have been inspired "Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius," by Jorge Luis Borges, in which a secret society concocts an elaborate and fictional alien civilization for the purposes of altering human “consensus reality.”

Claims

Ummo is an alleged star, 14.6 light years from Earth, located in the constellation Virgo. Because of the matter in space, it is supposedly not visible from Earth.

The people from this star system are called the Ummo. In their language, their star is written as )+(.

Beginning in 1966, people have been receiving mysterious letters, mailed from all over the Earth, allegedly from the Ummo, aliens who are here living among us. The Ummites are human in appearance, but they are ahead of us in science and technology.

Although their planet is distant, they exploit hyper dimensional folding in the fabric of space to reach us in a few months.

They first arrived on earth in 1950, in the French Alps.

The letters, which add up to thousands of pages, contain detailed discussions on scientific, philosophical, psychological, or technical subjects.

One person who received them, a French engineer named Jean-Pierre Petit, has published scientific articles based on information in the letters. In one article reference, he even cites Ummo as a source.

Teachings

The Ummo teach an unusual cosmology.

There are twin universes: a matter universe (ours) and an anti-matter universe (our twin universe) The two universes have the same mass and energy but they are not in contact and they do not have a three-dimensional relationship with one another.

The two universes were created simultaneously, but the other universe – the anti-matter one – which has its own stars and galaxies – has reverse time. So the two universes do NOT coexist in time.

The Ummo also teach a different logical system. Our logical system (at least in the western world) is binary. Something is true or false.

The Ummo teach there are four options: something can be true, false, true and false, neither true nor false
