Hi

I want to join Fox and say, Hello and welcome to tinWiki! :-) I saw the International Space Station article which you have initiated today. It looks really good. Congratulations.

Adding the image to the image description page was also good to see that you did. I noticed you even put in a text about the copyright status for the pic, and signed; then it seems you deleted those two. Both were correct to include, and should follow all image entries. Again, congratulations on a great first contribution to tinWiki, Hsur2112! Keep up the good work. Optimist 16:21, 19 August 2008 (CDT)

Hi, again, Rush. Lots of people don't sign image listings, or don't even list images they use at all, but images should always be listed and also signed, so it's great that you put in the signature again, and the copyright info. Anyway, the Expeditions and Crew info will be great to have in the article, and I am definitely looking forward to seeing that. I'll be sorry to see the picture replaced, since it looks totally awesome, but I'm sure the bigger replacement will look really great, too. It really is a great topic, in my opinion, to have an article on in tinWiki, the ISS, and you have also done very good work on it. Looking forward to seeing more. You are definitely improving tinWiki, so keep it up. :-) Optimist 19:55, 19 August 2008 (CDT)

Have now blocked those two you pointed out

Rush,

The spammer in the image description page has now been blocked. It seemed he wasn't already blocked, when I searched the list of blocked IPs (found through Special pages in the sidebar), so I did it now. The vandal who erased section after section in your articles ISS and Aurora Borealis has now been blocked also. It seemed that IP was, likewise, also not in the blocked IPs list already, but I made the block right now. Good thing that you pointed those two out.

I actually noticed that vandal, and couldn't make any sense of it, so I thought perhaps your login was going like on and off and that it was all part of how you write articles. :-) I mean since the erases were done from an IP address while your writing was done from your username... Makes a bit more sense now when I understand that indeed that wasn't you who were erasing your own work... Vandals do come around sometimes, and I'm sorry you had to be bothered by that sillyness, there.

A brief spam reverting tip: if you want to revert a spam edit you notice, a very good way to do that is to go into the history (that's found through one of the 'tabs' on top of articles) and click on the version that preceded the spam edit. Now you're viewing a version that's not the current version, but an older version (each and every edit becomes a version, and all versions are preserved and can be viewed by going through the version history list). Now, if you click edit while viewing that version, and then click save, you will restore the article to the state it had before the spam edit.

Anyway, again, it's good that you point out things that need getting done. Keep up the good work. Optimist 20:38, 27 August 2008 (CDT)
