Kennedy. The panel was headed by Chief Justice Earl Warren and set up by Lyndon B. Johnson on the 22nd of November 1963. Its direct objective was to find out who assassinated JFK. The Commission concluded and released an 888 page report naming Lee Harvey Oswald as the sole killer of John F. Kennedy. The Commission was composed of several high level American government officials:
